Headache Relief September 30, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — lindylorenz @ 1:15 am

Lately I have been getting terrible headaches.   I suppose headaches can be a teaching hazard.  Instead of reaching for the Advil I reach for peppermint essential oil.  I add a few drops to some jojoba oil and massage into my temples.  It works wonders.  I feel energized and my headache subsides.  I also feel good about not swallowing down drugs to  cure all  of my aches and pains.  This school year I will be keeping a gallon of the stuff handy during the school day!  No…I really just need my 10 ml and I’m good to go!

I know your feet are killing you!  I have the recipe just for you:

This Spicy Cinnamon Foot Scrub will soothe your barking dogs!  Better yet have your husband or wife rub your teaching feet for you.  Trust me it’s worth every minute.  When creating a recipe you don’t need to use all the ingredients.  For the Foot Scrub the key ingredients are the facial exfoliating care and the moisturizer.  You can add or take out any of the essential oils to meet your individual needs.

If it’s not your feet that ache but your hair that needs attention try making your own shampoo.  Rosemary and Lemon essential oils help stimulate hair growth after a long harsh summer in the sun.  Creating your own hair product that you can trust is the best way to go!

You’ll feel like a whole new creative and healthy person after creating your own foot scrub and shampoo!

A few new recipes…. July 25, 2011

Tip of the day:

Try an easy to create recipe when you are new to creating your own products.  The below moisturizer is easy to create but amazing.

The more you give a few recipes a try, the easier it will become.

I hate to say it but your summer days are numbered.   Even though I have spent a lot of time in class this summer, I did spend my free days in the sun and at the pool.  My skin hates me by the end of summer.   I created a summer revival facial oil to help rehydrate my skin.

You’ll love how soft and supple your skin will feel afterwards.  Creating your own all natural products is rewarding.  You just need to take the plunge and try it out.

A little natural living info… July 14, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — lindylorenz @ 12:13 pm

Hey everyone,

Each week I will post a few easy to create recipes or ideas for natural products.  The natural products I love to create are plant-based and often times organic.  When I say  “create” I mean create from scratch.

I feel like a scientist when I’m experimenting with recipes in my kitchen.  Yes, I do create every recipe to make sure it works and I test it on my family.  No worries….the ingredients are ALL natural so it won’t cause my kids to grow an extra eye.  My family’s company is called Auroma:  http://auroma.com/  we offer a plethora  of  ingredients  to help you create natural products:   essential oils, base lotions and shampoos, aromatherapy tools and containers, and vegetable oils.  If you are inspired to create, we carry what you need!

Check out the link below:

You will learn how to get the most out of aromatherapy.

My tip of the day is to begin creating products slowly.  Test things out and experiment.  Once you create something that works trust me you will be over the moon!  Aromatherapy products make great (and inexpensive) gifts and please ask me if you have any questions!

Recipe of the day:

Boo Boo Be Gone–it’s amazing!  My children ask for boo boo  salve any time they have a mosquito bite, scratch or scrape.  Lavender essential oil is a key ingredient in this salve.  Lavender is a great essential oil to use in all recipes.  It calms itchiness, burns, and is very gentle on the skin.

Try it out, trust me you’ll have fun and create a wonderful and natural product you will feel good about.
